This is the Mosta Dome situated at a place called Mosta .It is considered to be one of the fourth largest unsupported domes in the world. It was built in 1833 and took 27 years to complete. It`s architect was George Grognet de Vasse. His plan was closely based on that of the Pantheon, in Rome.The other photo shows the Grand Harbour a focal point during the Great Siege and WW2.

The first photo on your left -hand side shows one of the oldest functioning theatres in Europe. It was built by the Portugese Grand Master Manoel De Vilhena in 1732. The other photo sites the Ggantija prehistoric temples that according to the Guiness book of records, these are the oldest freestanding structures in the world.They date back to 3600-3000 BC.

This building shows the National Library (Bibliotheca) that was originally built to house the Order`s collection of books and valuables. No drastic changes have been made during the years. The other photo shows Auberge de Castille built by the Order of St.John. Today it is used as the office of the Prime Minister.
